Jimmy James is a British-Jamaican soul singer.

Originally residing in Jamaica, he relocated to the UK in 1964.

He is known for songs like “Come to Me Softly“, “Now Is the Time” and “A Man Like Me“.

He performed as the lead singer of Jimmy James and the Vagabonds from the mid-1960s.

The singer and his band supported the Who and Rod Stewart in the 1960’s and toured the festivals in an attempt to establish themselves in the industry.
