Jennifer Rush is an American singer and songwriter who achieved commercial success during the mid-1980s around the world.

Born in Queens, New York, Rush began her musical career in the 1970s as a member of the folk group, The Fools and performing as a backing vocalist for several artists including Elton John and Billy Joel.

The million-selling single “The Power of Love,” which she co-wrote and released in the mid 80’s,  became the biggest selling UK single of 1985

Throughout her career, Rush has sold over 25 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling female artists of all time. She has also been nominated for several Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013.
