Hard-Fi were an English rock band, formed in 2003. The band’s final lineup consisted of Richard Archer (lead vocals and guitar), Kai Stephens (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Steve Kemp (drums and backing vocals). Founding member Ross Phillips (guitar and backing vocals) left the band in 2013.
Hard Fi’s debut album Stars of CCTV was released in July 2005. It eventually reached No 1. on the UK Album charts and was nominated for the Mercury Prize and two Brit Awards; Best British Group and Best British Rock Act). The band’s second album was released in 2007 and reached number 1 in its first week. Their third and final album which featured the single “Good for Nothing“, was released in 2011 and debuted at number 9 on the UK Albums Chart.
