Gwen Stefani is an American singer, songwriter, fashion designer, actress and TV star. As a singer she started out as lead vocalist with the 1980’s band No Doubt, but when they hit a rocky patch she branched out into a solo career. Gwen Stefani hit the ground running with her first album Love. Angel. Music. Baby (L.A.M.B the brand name of her first clothing line) and has since received many awards including Grammy’s and BRIT’s.
Although No Doubt have reformed on a couple of occasions and released new albums, Gwen Stefani continues with her solo career and often collaborates with producers and other artists including Pharrell Williams with whom she has been a coach on The Voice (US). As a fashion designer, she takes her inspiration from Japanese culture and mixes it with punk and glam. Her backing dancers (The Harajuku Girls) often wear her designs, from the Harajuku Lovers line, on stage. As part of her philanthropic works, she often auctions her designs to raise funds for charities.
