Eric Clapton
Eric Patrick Clapton, CBE (born 30 March 1945), is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. At the age of 16 he started busking and at 17 was performing in pubs around Surrey. He has collaborated with many musicians, including Jimmy Page, John Mayall, George Harrison and Steve Winwood and joined several bands including Yardbirds and Cream, as well as having a successful solo career.
He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and Cream.
