Dusty Springfield was born Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O’Brien on April 16, 1939, in London, England. She rose to fame in the early 60’s as part of The Springfields: a trio also including her brother Tom. The trio disbanded in 1963 and she launched her solo career.
