DJ Snake is a French DJ and record producer hailing from Paris. Born William Grigahcine in 1986, he is well known for his hits “Turn Down for What,” “Let Me Love You,” and “Taki Taki.” He is one of the most successful EDM (electronic dance music) producers in the world.
Early in his career, DJ Snake worked as a radio host in Paris, building a strong reputation for himself in the underground electronic music scene. In 2012, he released his first big single, “Bird Machine,” which featured vocals from French rapper Alesia. The song was an instant hit and caught the attention of popular American DJ Skrillex.
This led to DJ Snake collaborating with Skrillex on a song called “Turn Down for What,” which was released in 2013. The song became an international hit and has since sold over 3 million copies. This success led to DJ Snake becoming a highly sought-after producer in the EDM world.
Since then, DJ Snake has collaborated with numerous musicians, including Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, and many more. He has released several singles, including the aforementioned “Let Me Love You” and “Taki Taki.” He has also released several EPs, including Encore (2016) and Carte Blanche (2019).
He has performed all around the world, including several sold-out shows at large music festivals like Coachella. He has also been featured in a range of television shows and video games. DJ Snake is still releasing music and performing shows to this day, and looks set to continue on for many more years to come.
