Christopher Cross is an American singer / songwriter who began his career in the music industry as a member of a covers band ‘Flash’. In 1978 he signed a solo contract with Warner Bros., and released his debut album in 1979 which featured the hit songs “Sailing,” and “Ride Like the Wind”. The album earned five Grammy Awards.
His second album, released in 1983 featured the song “Athur’s Theme” which was used in the film ‘Arthur’ (starring Dudley Moore). Although he continued to write and release music, his commercial popularity waned. As of 2018, Christopher Cross tours with the band ‘Freedonia’ throughout the USA.
