Bonnie Raitt (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues singer and guitarist.
Having become hooked on the blues country sound as a teenager, Bonnie Raitt became the opening act for many of the blues performers of the late 60’s. Her incredible talent was soon recognised and she was signed to the Warner Bros. label for the production of her debut album. After more than a decade with Warner Bros., she moved to Capitol Records and her popularity soared, enabling her to achieve multiple Grammy Awards.
Bonnie Raitt has been a long time activist for various causes and regularly organises benefit concerts to raise awareness and funds for causes close to her heart.
