Bobby Vee, born Robert Thomas Velline in Fargo, North Dakota on April 30, 1943, was an American pop singer. He released his first single “Suzie Baby” in 1959, but it was 1961 when he had his first success; with “Take Good Care Of My Baby”, which reached number one on Billboard magazine’s U.S. pop chart. He went on to record a string of international hits in the 1960s, including “More Than I Can Say” (1961), “Run to Him” (1961, and “The Night Has a Thousand Eyes” (1963).
