Betty Boo (aka Alison Clarkson), is an English singer, songwriter and pop rap artist who, during the early 1990’s, had a successful solo career. Her most commercially successful single, was “Doin’ the Do” which charted in the top ten in the UK, reached number three in Australia and number one on the US dance chart.
In 1997 Betty Boo took a long hiatus from performing but was still busy behind the scenes as a songwriter. She wrote for other artists including Paloma Faith and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Her first album in 30 years, Boomerang, was released on 14 October 2022
