Austin Mahone
Austin Harris Mahone (born April 4, 1996) is an American singer and songwriter. He gained popularity performing covers of pop songs on YouTube in around 2010.
He gained popularity and began to build an online following before independently releasing his debut single “11:11” in 2012. This was swiftly followed by his second single “Say Somethin’”.
He was eventually signed to a record label and released a song titled “Say You’re Just a Friend” featuring rapper Flo Rida as a digital download.
An EP was released in 2013 and, nearly a year later, the EP ‘The Secret’ appeared. The Secret peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and yielded his first Hot 100 entry, “What About Love.”
While his official debut full-length album was in the making, he released a mixtape titled ‘This Is Not the Album (Cash Money/Republic)’, which featured Sage the Gemini, Becky G, Chris Brown, and T-Pain. Then the ‘For Me+You’ EP arrived in 2016. It included guests like Juicy J, Pitbull, and 2 Chainz.
In 2017 Austin Mahone’s debut album, ‘Dirty Work’, was issued exclusively in Japanand included the chart-topping club hit “Creatures of the Night”. Early the next year, he released the single “Why Don’t We,” (written by Charlie Puth).
