Asaf Avidan (born March 23, 1980) is an Israeli singer-songwriter and musician. He was born in Jerusalem and grew up in the nearby town of Pardesiya.

Avidan’s music career began while studying fine arts at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. He formed the band Asaf Avidan & The Mojos in 2006 and enjoyed commercial success with their album ‘The Reckoning’, released in 2008. The band enjoyed further success with their second album ‘Poor Boy/Lucky Man’ in 2009.

Avidan went solo in 2011 and released his critically acclaimed album, ‘Different Pulses’, in 2012. His music intertwines folk, blues, rock, and jazz and he has written and released a range of albums and EPs under his own name since.

Avidan continues to perform regularly, both in Israel and abroad, and in 2017, he performed his new album, The Study On Falling, live in Israel.
