Marshmello is an American digital record producer and performer whose identity was kept secret until 2017 by his wearing of a facial disguise. Marshmello appears wearing a full-head-covering white coloured bucket. Despite the anonymity, his career received international recognition in 2015 when he began releasing tracks online.

In 2018, Marshmello officially released a collaboration with recently deceased rapper Lil Peep entitled “Spotlight” and has since collaborated with British singer Anne-Marie on ‘Friends’ and the band Chvrches with ‘Here With Me’. His single ‘Happier,’ which featured Bastille’s Dan Smith on vocals, quickly became a high-charting track, rising into the Top Three in the U.S., U.K., and Australasia. Marshmello also has cross-genre collaborations in his catalogue his singles list, including ‘One Thing Right’ with country singer Kane Brown.

His awards and nominations include Billboard Music , Electronic Music Awards, iHeartRadio, International Dance Music and Teen Choice.

The DJ’s fourth full-length album, ‘Shockwave’, arrived in June 2021 and featured appearances by Juicy J, Megan Thee Stallion, Subtronics, and more. It hit number three on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
