Stone Sour Backing Tracks – Through Glass

Stone Sour was an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992. The band was founded by vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root, who would later both become members of the popular heavy metal band Slipknot. Stone Sour initially started as a side project for Taylor and Root, but eventually became their main focus.

The band’s original lineup also included drummer Joel Ekman and bassist Shawn Economaki. They released their self-titled debut album in 2002, which featured the hit single “Bother.” The song gained significant popularity after being included on the soundtrack for the movie Spider-Man.

Stone Sour released several more albums over the years, including “Come What(ever) May” in 2006, “Audio Secrecy” in 2010, and “House of Gold & Bones – Part 1” and “House of Gold & Bones – Part 2” in 2012. The band achieved commercial success and critical acclaim with their blend of hard rock and alternative metal.

However, in 2013, it was announced that Stone Sour would be going on hiatus, as Taylor and Root focused on their commitments with Slipknot. The band returned in 2017 with their sixth studio album, “Hydrograd,” before going on another hiatus in 2019.

Throughout their career, Stone Sour received several Grammy Award nominations and released numerous successful singles, including “Through Glass,” “Say You’ll Haunt Me,” and “Absolute Zero.” The band’s sound evolved over time, incorporating elements of alternative rock, post-grunge, and even acoustic ballads.

Despite their intermittent activity, Stone Sour left a lasting impact on the rock music scene and gained a dedicated fanbase. Corey Taylor has stated that the band may return in the future, but for now, Stone Sour remains on hiatus as Taylor and Root continue their work with Slipknot.
