Stevie Ray Vaughan

Stevie Ray Vaughan (1954 – 1990) was an American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Born in Dallas, Texas he started playing guitar at the age of seven and is considered one of the greatest blues guitarists ever.

He rose to fame in the early 1980s with his band Double Trouble, and released several albums that went gold or platinum. He had a string of hit songs, including “Pride and Joy”, “Texas Flood”, and “Crossfire”. His performance style was a unique blend of blues, rock, and jazz.

Stevie Ray Vaughan died at age 35 in a helicopter crash.

Vaughan’s influence can still be heard today, in the work of modern blues and rock guitarists. He has been posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame. His music lives on, and his legacy as one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time will never be forgotten.
