New Seekers (The) were put together by former members of The Seekers after that group disbanded in 1969.

Their breakthrough hit, “Never Ending Song of Love”  became a big hit in the UK, spending five weeks at No.2 in the singles chart and was one of the biggest selling singles of the year. Their song “I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing” became a worldwide success making it to No.1 in the UK, No.7 in the US and No.3 in Canada.  “You Won’t Find Another Fool Like Me” became a big hit over Christmas 1973 and eventually peaked at No.1 in January 1974, becoming their second biggest hit.

They entered the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972 with “Beg, Steal or Borrow“. They gained a respectable 2nd place.

The 40th anniversary of the group in 2009 was celebrated by a 35-date UK concert tour, which began in London on 31 January and continued throughout the year.
