Julia Michaels is an American singer and songwriter from Davenport, Iowa.

She started her career writing for other artists. She has co-written songs for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld, and Demi Lovato among others.

Julia Michaels has also released her own music, and her debut single “Issues” peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. At the 2018 Grammy Awards, she was nominated for two awards, Best New Artist and Song of the Year for the single.

She has toured and performed alongside established acts such as Maroon 5 and Keith Urban and made guest appearances on tracks she has co-written.
