Alicia Keys

Alicia Augello Cook (born January 25, 1981), known by her stage name Alicia Keys, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, record producer and philanthropist.

Brought up in a deprived area of New York known as Hell’s Kitchen Alicia Keys always knew she was going to be a performer. As her mother was an actress, Alicia spent many an hour in theatres with the performing arts surrounding and influencing her. She played piano and wrote her first song at aged 13 years and won 5 Grammy awards for her debut album.
