Grass Roots Backing Tracks – Let’s Live For Today … Midnight Confessions

Grass Roots (The Grass Roots) were an American rock band that successfully charted between 1965 and 1975.

The band achieved two gold albums, two gold singles and charted singles on the Billboard Hot 100 a total of 21 times.

Among their charting singles, they achieved Top 10 three times, Top 20 six times and Top 40 fourteen times. They have sold over 20 million records worldwide.

Until his death in 2011, early member Rob Grill and a newer line-up of the Grass Roots continued to play many live performances each year.

In 1982, they set a world record for the largest audience ever played to by a rock band, at an Independence Day concert where they performed to over half a million people.

They concentrated on the “60s nostalgia” circuit, appearing alongside fellow 1960s groups including  The Turtles, The Monkees, Gary Puckett, and Herman’s Hermits.

By 2012, the group featured no original band members, with a line-up personally chosen by Grill carrying on the legacy of the group with nationwide live performances.

In 2016 they were inducted into the American Pop Music Hall of Fame
