Weezer is an American rock band formed in the early 1990’s.
Their debut album was a complete commercial success and spawned their massive hit “Buddy Holly”. Their second album however, had rather a disappointing reception, possibly because of the change in sound adopted by the band.

After a brief hiatus and a change in line up, Weezer’s third album, The Green Album (2001), was released. It achieved gold certification and spawned the hit single “Hash Pipe“. It marked a return to the band’s earlier pop rock sound. Weezer’s fourth album, Maladroit (2002), was released to mixed reviews but still achieved gold certification. The band’s fifth album, Make Believe (2005), featured the single “Beverly Hills”, which became the band’s first single to reach the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Weezer’s sixth album, Red (2008), was released to positive reviews and charted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.
The band’s seventh album, Ratitude (2009), was a commercial disappointment and only went gold. Weezer’s eighth album, Hurley (2010), was released to lukewarm reviews. The ninth album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End (2014), was received positively and charted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s tenth album, Pacific Daydream (2017), was preceded by the single “Feels Like Summer”. The album was a commercial disappointment, spawning the single “Happy Hour”. Weezer’s eleventh album, Van Weezer (2021), was preceded by the single “Beginning of the End”.
