Smash is an American musical drama television series created by playwright Theresa Rebeck , developed by Robert Greenblatt and Steven Spielberg served as one of the executive producers. The show revolves around a group of characters creating new Broadway musicals with the first one being a new musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe titled Bombshell.
