Kim Kardashian West is an American reality television personality, entrepreneur and socialite. Kardashian first gained media attention as a friend and stylist of Paris Hilton. In 2007 she and her family began to appear in the E! reality television series ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’. Its success soon led to the creation of the spin-off series ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’ and ‘Kim and Kourtney Take Miami’.

In 2011 she teamed up with record producer The-Dream and Kanye West to release the charity single “Jam (Turn It Up)”. In its first month on sale, the song sold over 60,000 pure copies in the United States although it was heavily slated by the critics.

Time magazine included Kardashian on their list of 2015’s 100 most influential people, while Vogue described her in 2016 as a “pop culture phenomenon.” Forbes magazine ranked her the 32nd most powerful celebrity in 2015, and the 72nd most powerful in 2016. She was later ranked the 80th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes in 2018. As of 2019, Kardashian’s net worth was estimated at US$350 million.

In 2014 Kim Kardashian and Kanye West married. They have four children together.
