Ilse Delange is a Dutch country and pop singer-songwriter. She co-founded The Common Linnets, who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song “Calm After the Storm”. The song reached second place, making it the highest placement for the Netherlands in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.

DeLange was born on May 13, 1977, in Almelo, Netherlands. She started singing at a young age and was discovered by a Dutch record producer who helped her start her professional music career. She released her debut album, World of Hurt, in 1998. The album was a huge success in the Netherlands, selling over 100,000 copies.
DeLange’s attention turned to television in 2013. She joined The Voice of Holland as a coach in its fourth season and stayed with the show for the next two years before moving to The Voice Kids and then signing with The Voice Senior in 2018. She was also part of the country-pop group the Common Linnets, who released albums in 2014 and 2015. After a six-year hiatus from solo recording, Ilse DeLange returned in 2018 with a self-titled album. Gravel & Dust followed in 2019.
She has won numerous awards, including three Dutch Music Awards and a European Border Breakers Award. In 2019, she was presented with the Edison Lifetime Achievement Award.
