Dusty Springfield Backing Tracks: I Only Want To Be With You… I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself… Going Back… How Can I Be Sure… Son Of A Preacher Man…

Dusty Springfield was born Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O’Brien on April 16, 1939, in London, England. She rose to fame in the early 60’s as part of The Springfields: a trio also including her brother Tom. The trio disbanded in 1963 and she launched her solo career. Over the next half decade, she had success after success in the pop charts, beginning with “I Only Want to Be With You,” in January 1964, which reached No. 4 in Britain and No. 12 in the U.S.

Dusty was one of the best-selling UK singers of the 1960s. She was voted the Top Female Singer (UK) by the readers of the New Musical Express in 1964 to 1966 and Top Female Singer in 1965 to 1967 and 1969.
