Danzig Backing Tracks – Mother

Danzig was an American heavy metal band formed in 1987. The band was founded by former Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig and featured guitarist John Christ, bassist Eerie Von, and drummer Chuck Biscuits.

Their music was influenced by a variety of genres, including punk, gothic rock, and blues. Their sound was characterised by heavy guitar riffs, dark lyrics, and Glenn’s distinctive vocal style.

The band released their self-titled debut album in 1988, which spawned the hit single “Mother.” The album was a commercial success and helped establish Danzig as a prominent figure in the heavy metal scene.

Over the years, Danzig released several more albums, including “Lucifuge” (1990), “Danzig III: How the Gods Kill” (1992), and “Danzig 4” (1994). These albums further solidified the band’s place in the metal genre and garnered critical acclaim.

However, in the late 1990s, the band experienced lineup changes and faced challenges with their record label. Despite this, the group continued to release new music and tour.

Today, Glenn continues to perform as a solo artist and has also ventured into other fields, such as comic book writing and film directing. The legacy of Danzig as a band remains, with their music continuing to inspire and influence heavy metal artists.
