Christophe Maé (born 17 July 1975) is a French singer-songwriter. He has released five studio albums and has received both a Victoire de la Musique and NRJ Music Awards.

Maé was born in Le Vésinet, France. His father was a vocalist and guitarist in a rock band, and his mother was a kindergarten teacher. At the age of six, he wrote his first song, “La zizique écureuil”, and began playing the guitar at the age of 10.

In 1994, Maé’s career began when he joined the French boy band, Elan. After the group disbanded in 1999, Maé formed Weepers Circus with fellow Elan member Romain Humeau. They released two studio albums, Meccano in 2001 and Day’s Long Gone in 2003.

Maé launched his solo career in 2003 with the release of his debut studio album, Mon Paradis, which was certified platinum in France. He followed up with his second studio album, Je veux du bonheur in 2007, and his third studio album, On trace la route in 2011.

Maé’s fourth studio album, L’attrape-rêves, was released in 2013 and reached number one on the French album charts. His fifth studio album, Les Voiles, was released in 2016.

Maé has received numerous accolades over the course of his career, including a Victoire de la Musique award for Best Male Artist in 2013 and an NRJ Music Award for International Male Artist of the Year in 2014.
