Chipmunk – Jahmaal Fyffe (born 26 November 1990), is an English rapper and singer.

In 2009, he released his debut album, I Am Chipmunk, featuring four songs which peaked in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, including the chart-topping “Oopsy Daisy”. In 2011, Chipmunk released his follow-up album, the American hip hop-influenced Transition. It included the single “Champion” with Chris Brown, which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart

Chip started rapping when he was just 13-years-old and was inspired by grime MCs like Wiley, and Skepta. In 2005, Chip formed the Rascals crew alongside his friend, Shalo. The crew went on to release several mixtapes and singles. In 2008, he released his debut solo mixtape, I Am Chipmunk, which was a success and earned him a MOBO Award for Best Hip Hop Act.

Chip has collaborated with a variety of other artist, including Skepta, Emeli Sandé, Ella Mai, and Stormzy. He has also won several industry awards, including five MOBO Awards, two Brit Awards, and one BET Award. In 2019, he was appointed MBE for his services to Music. He continues to release music and collaborate with other artists, and is considered one of Britain’s most successful grime MCs.
