Buzzcocks Backing Tracks – Boredom … Harmony In My Head … What Do I Get
Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in 1976 by singer Howard Devoto and guitarist Pete Shelley. They quickly gained a reputation for their high-energy performances and catchy, melodic punk songs. The original lineup also included bassist Steve Diggle and drummer John Maher.
Buzzcocks released their debut EP, Spiral Scratch, in 1977, which is often credited as one of the first punk records to be self-released. The EP was highly influential and helped establish the band as one of the key figures in the punk movement.
Their debut studio album, Another Music in a Different Kitchen, was released in 1978 and featured the hit single “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)”. The song became one of their most popular and enduring tracks.

Throughout the 1980s, Buzzcocks continued to release albums and tour extensively. They experimented with their sound, incorporating elements of post-punk and pop, but remained true to their punk roots. Hits during this time included “What Do I Get?” and “Everybody’s Happy Nowadays”.
Despite several lineup changes over the years, Buzzcocks have remained active and continue to perform live. Their music has influenced countless punk and alternative rock bands, and they are considered one of the most important and influential punk bands of all time.
Tragically, guitarist and vocalist Pete Shelley passed away in 2018, but Buzzcocks have continued to honour his legacy and keep his music alive. They are still regarded as one of the most exciting and influential bands in punk rock history.
