Brandy (born Brandy Rayana Norwood February 11, 1979), is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. Born into a musical family in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Carson, California, she began her career as a child and performed as a backing vocalist for teen groups.

In 1994, Norwood released her self-titled debut album, which was certified quadruple Platinum in the US: selling six million copies worldwide. Her second album, “Never Say Never” sold 16 million copies worldwide, featured two number one singles, and earned Norwood her first Grammy Award.

“Missing You” is a song by American singers Brandy, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and Canadian R&B musician Tamia. The track was used to promote the 1996 film Set It Off. At the 39th Annual Grammy Awards, the song was nominated for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
