Basshunter (Jonas Altberg) is a Swedish singer / songwriter / producer / DJ who started out making music on his computer and uploading demos to the internet.

In January 2008 Basshunter hit the UK by storm with the release of the single “Now You’re Gone” which went to number 1 in the UK Charts.

In July 2008 he released his second UK single “All I Ever Wanted” which made it to number 2 in the charts but he also released his new UK Album ‘Now You’re Gone: The Album‘ which hit number 1 on its release.

Basshunter is a Swedish musician, DJ and producer. His real name is Jonas Erik Altberg and he was born on December 22, 1984, in Halmstad, Sweden.

Basshunter first started making music in his bedroom, using a computer and simple music-making software. He released his first album, ‘The Bassmachine‘, in 2006. The album was a success in Sweden, and Altberg soon became a well-known name in the Swedish music scene.

In 2007, Basshunter signed with Ultra Music and released his second album, ‘Now You’re Gone‘. The album’s title track was a huge hit, reaching #1 in several countries. Basshunter’s success continued with the release of his third album, ‘Bass Generation‘, in 2009.

He is considered one of the most successful Swedish musicians of all time. He has sold millions of records and his songs have been streamed hundreds of millions of times. He’s also a successful businessman, with his own record label and clothing line.
