You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet is unique in that it was first song with ‘stuttering’ vocals to reach the number one slot on the Billboard Hot 100, it also reached number 2 in the UK charts. The group from Canada was led by Randy Bachman, and featured his brothers Robbie and Tim, as well as Fred Turner. The band’s first manager was another Bachman brother, Gary.
The song was actually never meant to be released as it was a joke played on Gary because of his speech impediment, but Mercury records liked it so much it was included on the album “Not Fragile” and became the band’s only chart-topper.
The group disbanded in 1977, but reformed a few years later without Randy Bachman, releasing a new album Rock n’ Roll Nights in 1982. Although the lineup changed frequently, the core of the group remained Fred Turner, Randy and Robbie Bachman, and Blair Thornton. The group last released an album in 2011, and have since toured extensively in North America.
