Axe Backing Tracks – Rock n Roll Party In The Streets
Axe is an American rock band that was formed in 1978 in Gainesville, Florida. The band was originally started by Bobby Barth and Edgar Riley Jr., both of whom were previously members of the band Blackfoot. Along with Bob Harris, Mike Osbourne, and Teddy Mueller, they formed the original lineup of Axe.
The band quickly gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their melodic hard rock sound, influenced by bands like Foreigner and Styx. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1979 and received critical acclaim. It featured the hit singles “Rock ‘n’ Roll Party in the Streets” and “Battles,” both of which became fan favourites.

Axe continued to release albums throughout the 1980s, including “Living on the Edge” (1980), “Offering” (1982), and “Nemesis” (1983). However, despite their success and loyal fanbase, the band faced numerous lineup changes and struggled to maintain mainstream success.
In the late 1980s, Axe went through a period of hiatus, during which Barth worked as a songwriter and producer for other artists. However, the band regrouped in the 1990s and released several more albums, including “Five” (1997) and “The Crown” (2000).
They gained a cult following and are remembered for their catchy hooks, memorable melodies, and energetic live performances.
