Alt-J Backing Tracks –  Every Other Freckle … Matilda … Something Good

Alt-J is an English indie rock band formed in 2007.   The band’s debut album was released in 2012 and won the 2012 British Mercury Prize, and their second album was released in 2014 and went straight to UK number one. ‘Relaxer’ their third album also saw them nominated for the Mercury Prize and from which they released several commercially successful singles.

Alt-J’s sound combines elements of indie rock, electronica, and folk music, and their lyrics often focus on themes of love, religion, and death. Their songs mix traditional English folk music and modern electronic music, often drawing influence from singer/songwriters such as Robert Wyatt and David Bowie. Their unique style has garnered them a significant cult following, with their first two albums both peaking in the top 10 of the UK Albums Chart. The band has earned several awards for their music, including a Mercury Prize nomination for An Awesome Wave and an Ivor Novello Award for the track “Breezeblocks”. Alt-J has performed at numerous festivals around the world, including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Bonnaroo.

In 2021 their first single for 3 years was released, swiftly followed by the album The Dream.
