He started his singing career in 1999 whilst still working a full time job. In 2004 his 1st album ‘Trouble’ was released and the title song charted at number 25 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2005, staying on the chart for a ten-week run.
He has released several studio albums, the most successful being his debut album, Trouble, in 2004. He has also released three live albums, two EPs, and a number of singles. LaMontagne’s music is heavily influenced by blues, folk, and soul styles, and his musical sound is characterised by his distinct voice and his acoustic guitar playing.
