Panic At The Disco is a band from Las Vegas in America who formed in 2004.
‘I Write Sins, Not Tragedies’ the lead single from their debut album reached number seven in the US charts. Off the back of this they were second billing on the Truckstops & Statelines Winter Tour in 2006 and their album sales took off.
Other albums and tours have ensued, and the bands line up has altered several times over the years, but their popularity as an alternative rock band remains.
Panic At The Disco’s fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor, was released at the end of January 2016 and eventually became their first ever chart topping album. The band released an official studio version of their cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” in August 2016, on the Suicide Squad soundtrack album and in September 2016 they released “La Devotee” and announced an album tour. 2018 saw the release of their album ‘Pray for the Wicked’ which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 making it the band’s second US number-one album. The album also debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, making it the band’s second Australian number-one album.
The band’s version of the song “Into the Unknown” is featured on the soundtrack to the 2019 film Frozen II. The song in the film is performed by Idina Menzel and Aurora.
