Neneh Cherry is a Swedish singer-songwriter, rapper, occasional DJ and broadcaster who has released several studio albums.
When she was 14 she moved to the UK and toured with her step father, a successful jazz trumpeter.
The singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer got her start in the U.K. post-punk scene before she made a mainstream breakthrough as a solo artist with the smash hit “Buffalo Stance,”
Cherry has won two Brit Awards and an MTV Europe Music Award and she received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 1989.
