Peter Sellers Backing Tracks – Goodness Gracious Me

Peter Sellers CBE (born Richard Henry Sellers; 8 September 1925 – 24 July 1980) was an English actor and comedian. He first came to prominence performing in the BBC Radio comedy series The Goon Show, featured on a number of hit comic songs and became known to a worldwide audience through his many film roles.

In 1960 Sellers portrayed an Indian doctor the romantic comedy ‘The Millionairess’, a film based on a George Bernard Shaw play of the same name.

The film inspired the George Martin-produced novelty hit single “Goodness Gracious Me“, with Sellers and Sophia Loren, which reached number four in the UK Singles Chart in November 1960.
