Cry Me A River … Just What I Always Wanted

Lyrics

Said he was giving me a taffeta dress
That’s just what I’ve always wanted
And then he said he’d give me more or less
Of just what I’ve always wanted

But you don’t give me anything and I don’t ask you
Just yourself is good enough
That’s just what I’ve always wanted
Just what I’ve always wanted
Hoh-oh, just what I’ve always wanted

He said he’d make of me a millionaire
That’s what I’ve always longed for
Not one Picasso, he’ll give me a pair
Just what I’ve always dreamed of

But you don’t give me anything and I don’t ask you
Just yourself is everything
That’s just what I’ve always wanted
Just what I’ve always wanted
Hoh-oh, just what I’ve always wanted

I’ve got a mink from Paris, a ring from Rome
A whole new wardrobe in my home
A tune from Tenney, an Ashworth snap
These are the landmarks on my map
I’ve got just what I always wanted
She’s got just what she’s always wanted

But you don’t give me anything and I don’t ask you
Just yourself is everything
That’s just what I’ve always wanted
Just what I’ve always wanted
Hoh-oh, just what I’ve always wanted
