Go West are an English pop duo, formed in 1982 by guitarist Richard Drummie and vocalist Peter Cox. The duo enjoyed a peak of popularity between the mid 1980s and the early 1990s and are best known for the international top 10 hits “We Close Our Eyes”, “Call Me”, and “King of Wishful Thinking” (from the film ‘Pretty Woman’) They were named Best British Newcomer at the 1986 Brit Awards

In 1997, Cox took a break from Go West to concentrate on a solo carer and went on to release several solo albums into the 2000s.

The duo, plus their band have toured extensively in the UK with the ‘Let’s Rock’ Music Festivals. These festivals primarily focus on live music from the 1980’s with artists such as ABC, Wet Wet Wet and Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet) headlining.
