D-12 Backing Tracks – How Come … My Band … Purple Hills …

D12, an initialism for The Dirty Dozen, is an American hip hop supergroup from Detroit, Michigan. D12 has had chart-topping albums in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. D12 was formed in 1995, and achieved mainstream success after Eminem rose to international fame. The original lineup consisted of the members and their alter egos; this is where Eminem’s Slim Shady persona originated. D12 released the album Devil’s Night in 2001 and D12 World in 2004, spawning numerous hits such as “Fight Music”, “Purple Pills”, “My Band” and “How Come” throughout that period. Since 2006, Eminem’s hiatus and the death of Proof resulted in them being less active in subsequent years.

As of 2021, the members of D12 were still active in the music industry, with each member releasing solo projects. They still come together every few years to perform shows and tour. In 2023, former members Swifty McVay and Kuniva reunited and performed D12 songs at the beginning of Snoop Dogg’s I Wanna Thank Me Tour. Later that year, they played shows in the UK and the Netherlands in celebration of D12 World’s 20th anniversary.
