Stormzy : Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. (born 26 July 1993), is an English grime and hip hop artist. He won Best Grime Act at the 2014 and 2015 MOBO Awards and was named as an artist to look out for in the BBC’s influential Sound of 2015 list. His most successful song to date is the BPI platinum-selling “Shut Up”, which was initially released as a freestyle on YouTube. The track was then officially released and got to number eight on the UK Singles Chart after Stormzy launched a campaign to reach Christmas number one.

His debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, was released on 24 February 2017 and was the first grime album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart. His second album, Heavy Is the Head, was released on 13 December 2019. He was due to embark on a tour in 2020 to support the album but had to delay it until 2022 because of a worldwide health pandemic.

In July 2021 Dave & Stormzy realeased the single “Clash” which was written by the two artists. Commercially, the song peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, Stormzy’s twelfth Top 10 hit.
